My father was unfortunately kidnapped by ICE today, March 26, 2026, at around 6:30am on Sunrise and Vista Chino in Palm Springs, on his way to work. While being detained, no information was given as to where he was being taken and it was made difficult to locate him. With persistence, we advocated for him and found out he was at a holding facility in San Bernardino and were advised he would only be there for 12 hours until they transfer him to a detention center. As the strongest man I know, he looked defeated... only being able to speak to us through a visitation window, like a jail, for just a few minutes and then told to leave. No answer for a reason to arrest and no justifiable explanation other than his skin color. He is the hard working man that raised three children and was determined to give us a better future. Now with the devastation of another family being ripped apart, we will need to navigate the justice system and consult legal advice in the midst of the fear for his safety and health. As we deal with this difficult situation, we ask for any help. Whether it's donating, keeping us in your prayers, or sharing this GoFundMe with others. Anything helps and is appreciated. At the moment we do not know the detention center he is being transferred to but we hope to do our best and continue advocating for his rights. No human is illegal. Desafortunadamente, mi padre fue secuestrado por ICE hoy, 26 de marzo de 2026, alrededor de las 6:30 a.m. en Sunrise y Vista Chino en Palm Springs, de camino al trabajo. Mientras estaba detenido, no se dio ninguna información sobre a dónde lo estaban llevando y se hizo difícil localizarlo. Como el hombre más fuerte que conozco, parecía derrotado... solo pudo hablarnos a través de una ventana de visitas, como una cárcel, durante solo unos minutos y luego le dijo que se fuera... No hay respuesta por una razón para arrestar y no hay otra explicación justificable que no sea el color de su piel. Es solo el hombre más trabajador que crió a 3 hijos y estaba decidido a darnos un futuro mejor. Ahora, con la devastación de otra familia siendo destrozada, tendremos que navegar por el sistema de justicia y consultar asesoramiento legal en medio del temor por su seguridad y salud.
