Help Bring My Father Home and Support His Recovery
Update: father condition worsened, we are preparing for the worst.
To anyone who knows me — or whose life I’ve ever touched in any way — I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart, asking for help during the most difficult time of my life.
My name is Alona Zibrova, and my beloved father, Oleg Zibrov, just 56 years young, suffered a massive stroke while on his usual work route in Italy on Sunday, November 9th 2025.
That morning, he and his passengers made a short stop at a church, then at a car wash before heading toward the ferry to Sardinia. Moments later, he suddenly felt unwell and told one of the women in the car that something wasn’t right. Within minutes, he collapsed.
He was rushed to Spedali Riuniti di Livorno Hospital (Viale Vittorio Alfieri 36, 57124 Livorno, Toscana), where he was diagnosed with a severe stroke and has since fallen into a coma.
My father is the rock and provider for his family — a devoted husband to his wife Julia, a loving father to his two beautiful young daughters, ages 10 and 18, and a proud grandfather to two kids who adore him endlessly. All of us are praying and waiting for him to open his eyes and come back to us.
As of November 12, 2025, my father remains in critical condition. We are anxiously waiting for the latest diagnostic results and electroencephalography to understand the full extent of the damage. Our only hope now is that he wakes up and becomes stable enough to be transported back to his hometown for rehabilitation and long-term care.
His wife Julia is currently by his side in Livorno, Italy, while his daughters and I wait and pray from afar — hoping, every single moment, for a miracle. I am doing everything I can to fly to Italy within the next few days to be with him and help coordinate his care.
Why I’m Asking for Help
I am creating this fundraiser to help cover some medical, transportation, and living expenses for my father and his family during this devastating time. Despite my efforts, the financial burden is far greater than I can carry by myself — and I’m turning to this compassionate community for help and hope.
All funds raised will go toward:
- Costs of transportation and medical evacuation when he’s stable enough to travel back home;
- Support for his wife and daughters as they face an uncertain future;
- Rehabilitation and recovery expenses once he’s back home.
Every donation, no matter how small, means the world to us. If you are unable to contribute financially, I kindly ask you to pray for my father’s recovery — no matter your faith or where you are in the world. Your prayers, love, and positive energy give us strength when we need it most.
If anyone can offer a second medical opinion, I have access to his CT scans and reports and I would deeply appreciate your guidance.
From the bottom of my heart — and from my sisters’ hearts — thank you to everyone who takes the time to read, donate, share, or pray for our father’s recovery. Your kindness and compassion mean more to us than words can ever express.
With love and gratitude,
Alona Zibrova & Family
