My daughter came into my life when she was just a little girl, and last year I became her legal guardian. She faced many challenges in her younger years and, at just 14, was living with PTSD from childhood trauma. Despite everything, she found joy in music—especially K-pop and Stray Kids—and worked incredibly hard to bring all her grades up to straight A’s in just one year. She was a wonderful big sister to the other children in our home and a loving aunt to the two little ones, who looked up to her so much. Her kindness, strength, and bright spirit touched everyone around her, and she will be deeply missed by all of us.

On the last day of our family vacation, we experienced an unimaginable loss when she died by suicide. Our hearts are broken, and now my hope is to bring her home and give her the service she truly deserves. The costs of transporting her and arranging a funeral are more than I can manage alone, and I am reaching out for help during this incredibly difficult time.
