This Sunday started like any other for my family. My dad always took out his truck early to drive me to church, parking it right in front of our house and waiting patiently while I got ready. But this time, when I stepped outside, he was gone. The truck was empty, and my dog was still inside. I was confused until my neighbor approached me and told me the news I never expected to hear—my dad had been taken away by immigration. I was in shock and disbelief, unable to process how quickly everything changed.
My family is heartbroken. Just two hours after my dad was taken, my older sister came home from her military training, only to find out he was gone. My mom is now left to face all the bills and responsibilities without my dad’s support, and we are struggling to figure out how to move forward. We are hoping to raise funds to pay for a lawyer to help bring my dad home, and to cover our living expenses during this difficult time. Anything you can give would truly help us get through this.
My mom and sisters would appreciate any donation or help. The heartbreak I feel is something I would never wish on anybody. As a high school senior about to graduate, losing my biggest supporter hurts more than words can describe. It’s painful to think my dad might not see me graduate or attend my Honors Convocation, where I wanted to show him that his efforts were not in vain. I love and miss my father deeply. Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported my family—we appreciate you so much. God bless you.
