Our family never imagined we would be writing something like this. My dad has been bravely fighting cancer. Unfortunately, it has come back stronger, and the doctors have done everything they possibly can. Right now we are focused on keeping him comfortable and surrounding him with love during his remaining time with us. We are currently in Texas, but my dad’s final wish is to be brought back home to Connecticut. Home is where his memories are, where his family is, and where he deserves to be laid to rest. We are asking for help to make that possible. The funds raised will go toward transporting him back to Connecticut and covering funeral expenses so we can give him the proper goodbye he deserves. This has all happened so fast and unexpectedly, and financially it is something our family cannot manage alone. My dad was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was always helping people whenever he could, never asking for anything in return. He was a huge jokester, full of love, and the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome the moment they met him. I still can’t believe I’m writing this.
