On June 25, 2026, my dad was detained by ICE while returning home from work. Despite having done everything legally to come to this country and having no criminal record, he was taken to an ICE detention center in Broward County before being transferred to the Otero County Processing Center in New Mexico. After his bond was denied, our family began the difficult process of appealing that decision, hoping for the chance to bring him home. In what felt like the blink of an eye, our entire lives changed.

My dad has always been the heart of our family, the person who worked tirelessly to provide for us and make sure we never went without. Now, he's hundreds of miles away, and every day without him is filled with uncertainty, worry, and heartbreak.

As we fight to bring him home, the financial burden continues to grow. My mom has had to stop working to focus on our family and my dad's case, leaving us without both sources of income. On top of everyday expenses, we are facing overwhelming legal fees, communication costs, travel expenses, and the many unexpected costs that come with having a loved one in immigration detention.

Every dollar raised through this campaign will go directly toward the legal fees needed to continue fighting for my dad's release and bringing him home to our family. Having experienced legal representation is essential, and we are determined to do everything we can to give him the best chance of coming home.

In just two weeks, I'll be celebrating my 18th birthday. More than anything else in the world, my only wish is to have my dad home with us again. I know that wish may not come true by then, but I refuse to lose hope. My family is staying strong, praying every day, and believing that we'll be together again.
