Hi everyone, I’m Peter Voland, the photographer behind Peter Likes Photography. I’m putting together a cosplay photography gallery event in Raleigh, North Carolina, in partnership with the LGBT Center of Raleigh featuring a curated collection of large canvas prints that celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship, and community behind cosplay.
This event is about more than art on a wall. It’s about giving people a space to feel seen, to celebrate the work that goes into creating characters, and to bring the local community together for a night that feels inspiring and fun.
The big goal
To produce a professional, gallery style show with 15 large 20x30 canvas.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the LGBT Center of Raleigh.
What THIS fundraiser supports
Funds raised here will be used to cover the up front costs of producing the show, including:
Printing 15 large 20x30 canvas gallery wraps
Rent for the space
Basic display needs (hanging hardware, labels, signage, QR codes)
Opening night refreshments for attendees
Marketing and promo materials to help drive turnout
Budget estimate
Prints: about $1,200
Venue rental: $300 to $400
Opening night snacks and drinks: about $200
Display and misc supplies: $150 to $300
Total goal: $2,000 to $2,200 (depending on final venue and print costs)
Transparency
I will share:
Photos of the installation and opening night
A clear summary of expenses (print invoices, venue cost, etc.)
The final charity selection and the donation confirmation after the event
How you can help
If you can donate, share, or help spread the word, it makes a huge difference. Every contribution helps turn this into a real community event, and ultimately supports a local cause.
Thank you for helping me bring this Raleigh cosplay photography charity show to life.
If you want your name to be included on that the thank you board at the event, please comment your interest.
