I created this fundraiser on behalf of a dear friend whose family has been turned upside down after a loved one was unfairly detained by ICE. They didn't ask me to do this because they're afraid—afraid of drawing more attention to themselves, afraid of possible retaliation, and afraid of what might happen next. No family should have to carry that kind of fear while also fighting to keep their loved one safe and close.
I'm asking you, as friends, family, and members of our community, to take a few moments to read their story. If you are able, please consider donating to help them through this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for showing compassion to a family that needs our support now more than ever.

On July 31, 2026, my brother was detained by ICE in Fairbanks, Alaska, despite being in the United States legally and actively working toward permanent resident status. He is a hardworking, honest man who has always respected the laws of both our home country and the United States. He pays his taxes, works tirelessly, and helps support our mother and his grandchildren. He has spent years building a life centered on family, responsibility, and hope for the future.
In 24 hours, he was transferred from Fairbanks to Anchorage. Because Alaska has no ICE detention facilities, people who are detained are often moved out of state with very little notice. Every transfer places him farther from his family, his community, and the legal resources he desperately needs. The longer he is moved from place to place, the harder it becomes for us to communicate with him, secure experienced legal representation, and advocate for his rights.
Our family is terrified. We don't know where he will be sent next or how quickly that could happen. Every passing day matters.
We are seeking support to help cover the unimaginable costs of immigration attorneys, legal filings, travel, communication, and other expenses required to fight for his release and ensure he receives the due process every person deserves. No family should have to face this alone.
If you are able, please consider making a donation. If you cannot give financially, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, coworkers, and community would mean the world to us. Every contribution and every share increases the chances that we can secure the legal support needed to bring him home. Most of all, we ask you to keep our family in your thoughts. Your awareness, generosity, and advocacy give us strength when we need it most.
Thank you for believing that families belong together and that everyone deserves fair treatment, dignity, and the opportunity to be heard.
With gratitude and hope,
The Family
