I never imagined having to write something like this, but our family is in urgent need of support.

My brother recently traveled to Portugal, where he unexpectedly experienced a serious medical emergency that required immediate surgery. What was supposed to be a normal trip quickly turned into a frightening and overwhelming situation. Thankfully, he was able to receive the surgery he needed, but his recovery is far from over.

At this time, he is not medically cleared to travel back to the United States, leaving him stranded far from home, family, and his support system. To make matters even more difficult, my parents now have to fly to Portugal to be by his side, help care for him, and navigate this situation in a foreign country.

The financial burden has become overwhelming. Between emergency medical expenses, extended stay costs, flights, and daily living expenses abroad, our family is facing significant and unexpected costs.
