Our beloved sister, LaQuresha "Moogie" Hill, was a light in every room she entered. After recently moving to South Carolina to start a new job as a CNA—a profession she dedicated herself to for 23 years—Moogie continued to care for others with the same passion and warmth that defined her life. She was always ready with a smile and a kind word, making a difference in the lives of everyone she met. Her love for her family and her community was boundless, and she was truly cherished by all who knew her.

Tragically, Moogie passed away unexpectedly while waiting for her insurance to go into effect, a process that was delayed by the government shutdown. This has left our family facing the difficult task of arranging her service and bringing her back home to Alabama, all out of pocket. Her husband, Swarner Hill, is now left with medical bills and the responsibility of caring for their four children and grandchildren, all while coping with this tremendous loss.

We are reaching out to our community for help during this heartbreaking time. The funds raised will be used to give Moogie the beautiful homegoing she deserves, help bring her back to Alabama, and support her husband as he manages the financial burdens of medical bills and household expenses.
