On February 4th, my mom’s partner of over 15 years passed away suddenly in his sleep. They built a quiet life together filled with love and a home full of animals they adored. Losing him has completely turned her world upside down.

My mom is elderly with mobility issues and cannot safely live alone. I am trying to move her from North Carolina back home to Albuquerque, New Mexico so I can care for her. This means packing up her life, leaving the home they shared, and starting over near family.

They had 8 cats and 5 dogs. I am working to rehome the cats locally, which has been heartbreaking. She will be bringing her 5 dogs, and moving across the country with pets is expensive.

We need help with moving costs including a pod, movers, travel for my mom and the dogs, and a down payment for stable housing. She has no savings, and the financial stress on top of losing her partner has been overwhelming.
