My daughter, Misty Rae Ponce/Negara, was a beautiful person in so many ways. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and touched the lives of people from all walks of life. Misty was an April Fools' baby, always telling jokes and bringing laughter to those around her. She loved her family dearly and was the heart of our home.
When Misty was diagnosed with bone cancer, the doctors gave her six months to live, but we lost her in just three months. The illness took her from us so quickly, and it was heartbreaking to see her change so much in such a short time. We had to have a closed casket because she went from a beautiful lady to someone I could hardly recognize. It has been incredibly hard for our family to process this loss.
There was a misunderstanding about her funeral expenses, and I thought they would be covered under her father, but they were not. I had to seek help from the county just to pay for her cremation, and now we cannot bring her remains home until the funeral costs are paid in full. We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support. Any help you can give will mean the world to us as we try to honor Misty Rae's memory and bring her home. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
