On May 10, 2026, at 6:00 in the morning, our lives changed completely. My brother Miguel was detained by ICE while sitting parked in his car, never imagining that moment would separate him from his children and family. Since that day, his three little children have been living with sadness, fear, and confusion, constantly asking when they will see their dad again. Watching his children suffer from his absence has been heartbreaking for all of us.

Right now, we are racing against time to get Miguel the urgent legal help he needs for a chance to come home to his children and avoid being deported to Mexico. Our goal is to raise funds to hire an immigration lawyer and cover the legal expenses needed to fight his case. As a family, we feel scared and overwhelmed by the uncertainty of what may happen, but we are holding onto hope that Miguel will soon be able to hug his children again. No child should have to experience the pain of being separated from their father like this.
