Traducción al Español We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our beloved friend Michelle, who was recently and unexpectedly detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Michelle was detained outside of a Dollar Tree after leaving a dentist appointment. What was supposed to be a normal day suddenly turned into something no one could have prepared for. Her parents are incredibly worried about their daughter, and her friends and family are doing everything they can to get her the legal help she needs to come home.

Anyone who has had the privilege of knowing Michelle knows just how special she is. She is genuinely one of the kindest, funniest, one of the most positive people you could ever meet, and someone who cares deeply about the people in her life.

Michelle is an incredibly hardworking young woman. She works full-time while attending school full-time, doing everything she can to build a better future for herself. She has so many dreams, ambitions, and opportunities ahead of her. To see everything she’s worked so hard for suddenly become uncertain is heartbreaking.

What hurts the most is knowing that someone who has brought so much happiness into other people’s lives is now sitting in detention, away from her family, her friends, her education, and the life she’s been building.

Right now, Michelle urgently needs our help.

We are raising funds to secure an experienced immigration attorney who can represent Michelle, advocate for her rights, and help us pursue every available option for her release. Immigration legal representation can be extremely expensive, and because this happened so unexpectedly, her family and friends are facing expenses they were never prepared for.

Donations will go toward Michelle’s immigration attorney, legal expenses, and necessary costs associated with her detention and case.
