Hi, my name is Zarita Croney.
Currently my brother, Matu Croney is in Albania fighting for his life. The doctors have all stressed the need for him to receive care in the US but his current state is too precarious for commercial flights. Please help him receive the care he desperately needs as soon as possible.
These funds will go towards a nurse to assist in getting him home, and care and treatment once here. Obviously we don't know how much it will take overall, but to have a nurse fly with him to handle any IV's etc. it will cost $25,000 in advance and tickets for first class. From there it will be hospitalization/testing/and treatment. Currently we don't know what to expect, but if the amount raised happens to be greater than what is needed for his care then the rest will be donated either to a similar case to my brothers, or to an organization that helps people with medical emergencies. And if, heaven forbid, we reach the goal too late... The money will still go towards getting him home and a different kind of treatment, but the remainder will be donated in His name and yours along with a piece of his artwork so that his struggle will benefit others who are grasping at the kindness of others for hope.
My brother is an Artist who travels around trying to see the essence of life of people and things through his own eyes. Often depicted in vibrant colored paintings and modern collages that evoke the vibrancy of life and the culture of the day. His outlook on life was greatly influenced by our origins, a military family where travel was a constant, and ties to multiple ethnicities. This background gave us the ability to accept people and see the good in differences.
Please... I don't want the next time I see my brother to be in a coffin because I couldn't get the care he needed. And even if you can't help financially, please send your thoughts and prayers because they could help provide the strength he needs to get through this.
I want to thank the artist Shady Eshghi for allowing the use of a portrait she made of my brother so I could show him, not only in his current state but in the medium that he influences and interacts with the world in.
