Hello! My name is Mason Hyslop, and I am looking to raise money for two upcoming short film projects! I have been working on both of these stories for almost a year at this point, and I would love all of the help I can get this holiday season! I am currently a senior film student at Huntington University, and I want to get into the director's chair again.

"Matte Black" tells the story of a young vigilante and a hardened FBI agent as they attempt to track down a missing woman. They use their own tactics separately at first, but eventually, their stories collide and intersect with each other in interesting ways in this superhero/detective thriller.

"I Miss You: Black & Blue" is a prequel to my sophomore thesis film in college titled "I Miss You". This film, however, tells the story of Emily. a young woman in the original film. As she navigates her way through life, trials and tribulations begin to unfold. As they do, she finds her way into another character's life, and drama and tragedy begin to unfold.

ALL donations will go to both projects. Things like a character's outfit, the sets, submitting to film competitions, and any traveling expenses won't be accomplished without your help! Both of these stories have themes of loss, drama, and judging others. I think they are both interesting in their own ways, and I can't wait to share these films with the rest of the world! All donations are appreciated, big or small, and your name will be in the credits! Both projects are set to film in January 2026.
