Maria Estrada has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. She’s not just a family friend—she’s like another aunt to me, always offering kindness, support, and warmth to everyone around her. Maria is also the kind of person who brings laughter everywhere she goes—her sense of humor and joy light up every room. Her presence has been a source of comfort and strength for my family and so many others in our community.

On February 18, Maria was unlawfully deported, leaving her only child—my good friend—suddenly and painfully alone. The shock and heartbreak of this situation have been overwhelming. Maria’s daughter is now facing the daunting challenge of navigating legal proceedings by herself, determined to bring her mother home but unsure how to manage the mounting legal fees and emotional toll.
