The family of Lyle Prijoles is raising funds to help bring him home to San Diego. Lyle dedicated his life to the Filipino community, so any financial support would allow his family to honor him and lay him to rest.

On April 19 to 20, 2026, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) killed 19 people in Barangay Salamanca, Toboso, Negros Occidental. One of those killed was Lyle Prijoles.

Lyle is remembered through his advocacy within the Filipino community. He traveled to the Philippines to learn and understand directly from the communities in Negros Occidental. His legacy lives on through the stories he’s been able to share and the dedication to raising awareness of the hardships faced by communities in the Philippines.

We thank you for keeping Lyle in your thoughts, and his legacy lives on through his family, his friends and comrades, and the stories we continue to share of his bravery and commitment to fighting for human rights in the Philippines. He is a true “anak ng bayan”.
