On September 23, Luis Fernando — a dedicated day laborer — was simply loading materials he had just purchased at the Home Depot in Pasadena, preparing to begin his workday. Without warning, ICE agents descended and detained him, along with another worker.
Luis Fernando’s only close relative here is his uncle, with whom he shared both work and household responsibilities. Together, they built a modest but stable life. Now, with Luis unjustly detained and facing a long, uphill legal battle, his family is left without his income and without a safety net.
We are calling on our community to stand with Luis Fernando. Your support will help cover the legal expenses needed to fight for his release and ensure his family can meet their basic needs during this painful time.
Every contribution — no matter the size — is an act of solidarity that brings Luis Fernando closer to reuniting with his loved ones and reclaiming his freedom.
Please give what you can today, and help us bring Luis Fernando back home.
