My husband, Lonnie Jackson, is facing serious health challenges. He has a bad heart valve and is not a candidate for surgery, and he also suffers from kidney failure that requires dialysis three times a week. On top of that, Lonnie is blind and needs help with daily activities and medical care. Right now, he has to stay in a nursing home rehab facility because we don’t have a reliable car to get him to his treatments and doctor appointments.
We are on Social Security and have spent everything we have to make sure Lonnie can stay in rehab and get the care he needs. If we can raise enough to get a dependable car, Lonnie will be able to come home, and I’ll be able to take him to dialysis and the other doctors who monitor his heart and kidney health. This transportation is essential for his ongoing care and quality of life, and it will allow us to be together as a family again.
I’m asking for help from anyone who can spare a few dollars. Every bit will go toward getting a car so I can bring Lonnie home and make sure he gets the medical care he needs for the rest of his life. If you can’t give, your prayers and support mean the world to us. Thank you for reading our story and for caring about Lonnie.
