Help Bring Lola Home to the UK!

My name is Corinna and I live in Canton, NC. I started fostering dogs in 2024 and I absolutely love it.

I never expected to fall so hard for my recent foster puppy, but from the moment Lola came into my life, she became family. I took her in the day before the Hurricane hit, and her first week with me was spent in the dark — no power, no water, just all of us figuring it out together. Me, my foster, my two dogs, my cat, and my husband, Jake — all of us weathering the storm, quite literally. We trauma-bonded in a way I can’t fully explain. Despite everything she had been through — dumped outside a grocery store as a tiny puppy, left to fend for herself — Lola remained the sweetest, most loving dog.

Thanks to Holding Hope GA, she was rescued and given a second chance. And when my parents visited, they fell in love with her just as deeply as I did. They want to give her a forever home in the UK, where she’ll be endlessly loved and spoiled. But we’ve hit an unexpected obstacle — a pet travel embargo in the UK that has made getting her there far more expensive than we ever imagined.

It has been incredibly stressful trying to make this happen — both my mum and I have lost sleep over it. We just want to get Lola to the life she deserves, a life full of love, comfort, and belly rubs in her new home in North Wales.
