Our hearts are broken as we share the sudden passing of Cory Anderson, a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend, who passed unexpectedly in Kelowna, BC. Cory was originally from Prince Edward Island, but his heart always belonged to Cape Breton, where his daughter Olivia (Liv) lives — the absolute love and light of his life.

Cory had built a life working out west in British Columbia, but his dream and goal were always the same: to make it back home to Liv. He often spoke about returning to Cape Breton, to be closer to his girl and the place that felt most like home where he last lived before heading west.

Liv deserves the chance to say goodbye and bring her dad home where he belongs.

We are reaching out to family, friends, and anyone who feels moved to help us bring Cory back home to Cape Breton so Liv can lay her dad to rest close to her — where he always wanted to be.

All funds raised will be allocated directly toward the costs associated with transporting Liv to Kelowna, British Columbia, to see her father before his cremation. Additionally, funds will cover the transportation of Cory’s remains to Prince Edward Island for a funeral service, and subsequently to Cape Breton for a celebration of life and his final resting place, honoring Cory’s wish to remain close to his daughter. Any remaining funds following these arrangements will be placed in a trust for Liv.

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps bring a father home to his daughter and gives Liv the chance for closure and peace.

Service will be held in Cape Breton and a date will be announced once we get Cory home.
