Help Bring Lisa Home for a Proper Farewell by 5.18.2025
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our cousin, Lisa, who died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 8th, while in Puerto Rico. Her passing has left her family in deep mourning, and we are now facing an urgent and overwhelming financial burden to bring her home to the United States for a proper farewell.
Lisa was the mother of four children. Three survive her, including two young adults, ages 22 and 19, who are now left to navigate this heartbreaking loss without the resources to cover the costs of bringing their mother home.
Though Lisa had been estranged in recent years, she was still our family. She deserves to be laid to rest with dignity—near her loved ones, not left behind in a place far from home.
We urgently need to raise $1,385 to cover the following costs:
$995 for cremation
$225 to transport Lisa's body to the morgue
$165 to mail her cremated remains back to the U.S.
We have until May 18, 2025 to make these arrangements. If we cannot raise the funds by then, Lisa's body will be donated to a local college in Puerto Rico—a heartbreaking outcome we are desperately trying to avoid.
Please, if you can, consider donating to help us reach this goal and give Lisa the farewell she deserves. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference. And if you're unable to give, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and support.
