Hi!!
If you’re reading this, you are most likely family, a friend, an audience member, or someone who has supported the theater in some way to bring you here. So thank you, to start!
Likewise has existed on stages since 2024, but truly began in 2021 when I was writing monologues in my childhood bedroom during the pandemic. The play grew slowly in my head, until I wrote the first full draft in Advanced Playwriting with Professor Edwin Sánchez.
From there, we sold out our Capstone Festival run in March 2024. This piece has since alternated between development and productions in New York throughout 2025, to some wonderful reviews and even BroadwayWorld Award nominations!
Our incredible producer, ShowTown Theatricals , has been instrumental in getting us this far—the remaining costs are for the team to raise together.
Our production management, stage management, director, cast, and crew are all volunteering their time to bring this show to life, in New York and in Edinburgh. We’re that passionate about it.
The costs of flights, insurance, housing, and living costs in Scotland are our primary concern. Taking care of our cast and crew as we perform 15 shows over two weeks in a new city is our top priority. Any contribution you can make helps us immensely.
Thank you to those who have already contributed, and to anyone who has helped spread the word about this show. It’s truly been a community effort from top to bottom, and I appreciate everyone who has stepped up to help us out along the way.
(TW: earnest) Putting on this show with the cleverest, kindest, hardest-working team of women has been the gift of a lifetime. I am so grateful to be making my Edinburgh Fringe debut as an actor, playwright, and producer with ShowTown and my amazing team: Hadassa Roz, Maddie Morehead, Lula Konner, Piper Richardson, and my Callie, Phoebe Golfinos.
To anyone who has felt seen or heard by this show, you are the reason it exists. I think our teenage selves would be friends.
All my love,
Kiera
