Lady wasn’t just my brother’s dog—she was his constant companion, his little girl, and his best friend. Ryan never missed a haircut appointment or a vet checkup for her. Wherever he went, Lady was by his side, and their bond was truly special. His beautiful little Lady Bird was taken from us far too soon.

One evening, Lady slipped out of Ryan’s car at the mall. He thought she was still inside, and by the time we realized she was missing, it was already dark. We spent three hours searching, combing through bushes and following every possible lead. Finding a black dog at night was nearly impossible, and being outside without Ryan was completely foreign to Lady. Tragically, she ran across the highway, terrified, and was hit by a car. She passed away alone in the dark, far from the people who loved her most.

Now, I’m just trying to make sure Ryan can keep Lady with him forever. We need help affording cremation services and an urn for her. My own dog—Lady’s brother—was recently injured, and I had to cover his emergency care, so I’m struggling to help Ryan with Lady’s expenses right now. If anyone can help, even a little, it would mean the world to us. I just want to bring Lady home to Ryan and honor her memory.
