Last year, everything changed when Kristy fell during an epileptic seizure and suffered a spinal cord injury which left her mostly paralyzed. Kristy has 4 beautiful kids, Malachi, Isaiah, Rebekah, and Abigail, and each of them also has their own special needs. With Kristy no longer able to move around, and with a limited disability income, the condition of her home started to deteriorate. She reached out to many nonprofits that do home repairs and got put on long waitlists. In late June, DFCS removed her four children from her home, citing the conditions of her home as the main reason. The timing of this action was tragic because Kristy & her kids had just been approved for in-home nursing and aides to help her and her children thrive and maintain their home.

We believe that families belong together! We are raising money to help Kristy's children return home! Every dollar will be used to help with home repairs; or, if we are able to get volunteers to do the repairs, we will use the funds for Kristy's urgent bills, because the children's removal also meant the removal of some benefits the family depended on.
