Kou Lee is a beloved member of our community—a fun-loving jokester with a positive outlook, a devoted father, and a talented musician. Kou came to the United States in 1980 as a Hmong refugee, arriving as a child with his mother and five siblings. Over the years, he has built a life here, sharing his love of music by playing guitar and keyboard, and helping others with his skills as a mechanic and a class A truck driver. Kou is known for his sense of humor and the deep love he has for his children.

Recently, Kou was detained by ICE, leaving his wife and children without his support. This sudden separation has created an urgent need for help. The family is now facing significant legal fees, bond costs, and filing expenses, all while trying to meet their basic needs in Kou's absence. The emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming for his loved ones, who are doing their best to stay hopeful and strong.
