On May 11, 2024, my beloved dog Koko was taken from us. We searched everywhere, involved the police, and held onto hope, but as the days passed, we feared we might never see her again. Koko is more than just a pet—she’s family, and her absence left a huge hole in our hearts.

This morning, everything changed. I received a call from the Clark Police Department in New Jersey—they found Koko thanks to her microchip! She’s alive and well, though she needs a bath and her nails clipped, but overall she’s okay. The relief and happiness I feel are overwhelming, but now I’m facing a new challenge: the police need me to travel to New Jersey from Dallas, Texas as soon as possible to pick her up. The cost of round-trip flights is extremely high, and I simply don’t have the funds to make this urgent trip.

I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help, but I’m reaching out to my community and anyone who understands the bond between a person and their pet. Please, if you can, help me bring Koko home where she belongs. She’s been away from us for too long, and your support would mean the world to both of us.
