Three years ago, my sister moved to Nicaragua and fell in love with a stray cat. She was alone and homeless, but she couldn’t resist her charm. We named her Kira and made sure she had everything she needed: a cozy bed, toys, food, and regular vet care.

Now, my sister coming back to the California, and Kira has nowhere safe to go. There are no rescues or shelters nearby that can take her. If you’ve ever been to Nicaragua, you’ll know there are sadly so so many stray dogs and cats.

Kira is a gentle cat who has been part of our lives for years now, and we refuse to leave her behind.

We want to bring Kira safely to the U.S., but the cost of transport, including a flight, vet paperwork, and supplies is around $500.
