Help Bring Kim Walker Home Safely

This fundraiser is for my dad, Kim Walker. As you may have heard, he had a massive stroke and while in the hospital over the last month, he has had six more strokes, and been diagnosed with cancer. He has no movement on his entire right side and he’s unable to speak clearly or communicate effectively. He wants to come home and we want to bring him home.

But in order to do that safely, he is going to need 24/7 care which Medicare will not pay for. He will also need to have his bathroom remodeled because it is too small for a wheelchair to fit in. He will need to have the tub replaced with a walk-in shower, the door way widened to accommodate a wheelchair, cabinets/shelving removed to provide more room. He will also need wheelchair accessible ramps put in. There are a few other modifications that will need to be done before we can bring him home safely, but the nursing care and the bathroom are the big expenses. 

If you know him, he has probably helped you or offered to help you in some way. He is the most selfless person I have ever known in my life. He has given every dollar he has made through his life away to help others, never saving a dime for himself.

So now, I’m asking on his behalf for your help. He’s always been there for me if I needed anything. And I want to be able to do the same for him. Thank you for anything that you can do to help. Please know it is greatly appreciated.
