Help Bring Kee Ray Begay Jr. Home

Kee Ray Begay Jr., age 53, from Arizona, went missing on December 21st while on a work trip to Idaho. For almost two weeks, my family and I searched endlessly, hoping for his safe return. On December 30th, he was found at rest near Massacre Rock in Snake River. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, as we process the loss of a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His absence leaves a tremendous void in our family and friends' lives, and we are doing our best to honor his memory and bring him home.

Kee was a loving and hardworking man, dedicated to supporting his family as a sheet metal worker and proud member of the SMART Union. He was a proud Navajo man, known for his strength and resilience, but also for his goofy and lighthearted spirit that brought joy to everyone around him. His unexpected leaving breaks both mine and my family's heart. But my father isn't the man to leave anything broken, so I know he'll come around to fix our hearts.

Some news coverage of my father has been misrepresenting him, labeling him as a Montana man or simply as a dead man. This GoFundMe is not only a fundraiser, but also a clarification of who my dad truly was—a loving, hardworking, and proud Navajo man that news reports are neglecting.

We are raising funds to help cover the funeral expenses and to bring my dad back home to Arizona from Idaho. Any support you can offer during this time means the world to our family and friends. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for keeping our family in your thoughts.
