The Director

Greetings! My name is Robert Hudson. I am the writer-director of the film JUST A LIL' RIDE. My platform, The Drew Hudson Co., is dedicated to entertaining, educating, and empowering the Black Diaspora. Donating to this project helps me take a step forward in building that platform.

The Pitch

JUST A LIL' RIDE is about a young man struggling to get in the fast lane of life who goes on a "lil ride" with his grandfather and learns how to go at his own pace. This is a film that honors my late grandfather while speaking to the pressing issues of young adults struggling to find a job and Black men's vulnerability. If you like movies such as WE GROWN NOW, MOONLIGHT, and THELMA, then JUST A LIL' RIDE is for you.
