I’m Kelly, and I’m raising funds to help bring my children’s book series, The Curious Adventures of June & Fig, to life. This project began with a simple walk with my dog, Dug, when I spotted a giant cotton thistle and started imagining a story about a little girl and this wild, memorable plant. The story changed as the idea grew, but that moment sparked something in me. What started as one playful thought has continued to grow into a bigger dream: creating children’s stories about plants and other unexpected parts of the world in a way that feels fun, imaginative, and full of wonder.

The funds I raise will help cover the costs of printing, producing, and launching the first June & Fig book, along with the creative support needed to bring the artwork and overall vision together. My hope is to create a series that sparks kids’ imaginations, gets them curious about the world around them, and gives families stories they’ll enjoy reading together.
