Jose H. Padilla is my significant other and domestic partner of 10 years. He is a devoted father to three handsome boys and a marvelous daughter. His daughter is 19, his son is 16 and has autism, requiring Jose’s full attention and support every day. He also has a 7-year-old boy and a 2-year-old boy, whom we have in common. Our family is close-knit, and Jose has always been the heart and provider of our home.

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, around 8:50 a.m., Jose was detained by ICE and CBP just as he was about to start his workday with his mobile car wash. His sudden detention has left our family in shock and facing an uncertain and difficult road ahead. As the sole provider, Jose’s absence has created a tremendous emotional and financial strain on all of us, especially the children who depend on him every day.

We are asking for donations to help our family obtain Jose’s liberty and allow him to fight his immigration case with his family by his side. The funds raised will go directly toward legal fees, supporting our children, and covering living expenses while Jose is away.
