On March 17, our family lost a piece of our hearts. My little brother, Jhostin, passed away at only 10 years old. His passing was sudden and unimaginable, and our family is struggling to come to terms with a loss that no words can truly describe. Jhostin was a bright, loving, and joyful child. He was a beautiful child of God, and his life was a blessing to everyone who knew him. He had a smile that could light up a room and a spirit that made everyone around him feel happy. He was a smart kid who always tried to live life with positivity and curiosity. Whether he was laughing, playing, or simply being himself, he brought warmth and love into our lives every single day. To know Jhostin was to love him. Now our family is facing the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye far too soon. Along with our grief, we are now carrying the difficult responsibility of arranging his funeral and memorial. We also hope to bring his body back to the Dominican Republic, so he can rest peacefully surrounded by family and the place that is part of our roots. The costs for these arrangements are overwhelming, and we cannot do this alone. We want to give Jhostin the respectful farewell he deserves, but the funeral truly depends on the support we receive from this fundraiser.
