Hello, my name is Melisa. I’m creating this GoFundMe to help our family raise money to bond our father out of an ICE detention facility in Alvarado, TX. My father, Jesus, was in a vehicle traveling with a friend when they were stopped for not having the license plate in the “correct position.” Then they proceeded to ask for residency, which my father did not have. My father has been in the U.S. since 1994, over 30 years, with NO criminal records, nothing, CLEAN SLATE. He is a father to 4 kids and 1 grandbaby who misses her grandpa very, very much!! They transferred him to Prairieland Detention Center and he is awaiting court in August. We are trying to raise money to be able to bond him out now.

My father is very ill. He has heart problems, he has a pacemaker, and is very diabetic. He needs insulin and medication every day. We ask if anyone can donate to help us get my father home! We love him and miss him dearly. Our mother passed away due to brain cancer in November of last year, and he is the only parent we have left.
