Jerry Craigo was my stepson, and his mom Connie and I are heartbroken by his sudden loss. Jerry went to Texas and truly turned his life around—he became a valued member of his community, dedicating his time to fundraising and helping people experiencing homelessness. Jerry knew hardship firsthand, having been homeless himself until Monique Stone found him, gave him purpose, and helped him change his life for the better.
On Monday, Jerry was walking home from the store when he was struck from behind by a truck and killed instantly. The news has left us devastated, and we are still trying to process this tragedy. Jerry was taken from us far too soon, but we want to honor the incredible good he did for others and the strength he showed in overcoming his own struggles.
We are asking for help to cover the costs of cremation and to bring Jerry home to New Jersey, where we can hold a celebration of life in his memory. Any support would be greatly appreciated and would touch our hearts immensely as we try to bring Jerry home and say goodbye. Thank you for considering helping our family during this difficult time.
