My name is Luka, I am raising funds for my best mate Jaxen and his family (father Allan Day) to help cover medical bills, and bring Jaxen home safely to Australia.
In the early hours of April 23rd, Jaxen was found unconscious on a remote road in Lombok, Indonesia. There were no visible injuries and no clear explanation for what had happened—only the urgency of a life hanging in the balance.
He was turned away from two medical clinics before a third recognised the seriousness of his condition. Nearly 12 hours after he was found, Jaxen was finally transported by ambulance to a hospital 3 hours from the spot he was found.
It wasn’t until a Facebook post began circulating that his identity was confirmed, and his parents in Australia were notified.
Jaxen has no travel insurance. And was travelling alone.
Jaxen has suffered a severe brain injury, which required emergency life-saving surgery when he was admitted.
Doctors have described the trauma as similar to extreme shaking, though the exact cause remains unknown.
He was in a coma in the ICU and remains in a very fragile state. He is facing a long and uncertain road ahead.
His parents are by his side, desperately wanting to bring him home safely—but they cannot do this alone.
We are asking for your support to help cover:
Urgent hospital and expensive medical expenses in Lombok
Ongoing care and rehabilitation
Medical transport back to Australia
Long-term recovery once he returns home
Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a real difference during this incredibly difficult time.
Jaxen is a quiet and determined young man who is kind, caring and compassionate. He is motivated and independent, recently completing his studies to teach English as a foreign language. Jaxen has been travelling throughout Asia with the intention of teaching in Cambodia as his next venture.
Jaxen's family and friends are desperate to get him home and support him on his difficult recovery ahead.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this message or keeping Jaxen in your thoughts means more than you know.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
