Help bring Jasper home!
Donation protected
Jasper Noyes Zollo entered our lives on March 7, 2022, three months premature, weighing 1.5 pounds. Since then, Jasper has shown us his strength and bravery. He's been from Maine to Boston and back, and is currently at Mass General Hospital for eye treatments. Jasper now weighs nearly 8.5 pounds! We are so proud of how far he has come and all he has overcome.
Because of his prematurity, Jasper developed chronic lung disease that can only be healed with growth and time. Jasper will be getting a tracheostomy on July 19 (as well as a G-tube and hernia repair), and we expect him to require the support of a ventilator for several years.
As Jasper continues to get bigger and stronger, we are hopefully and excitedly looking forward to when we can bring him home. Jasper will be like any baby at home, with love and snuggles, playtime, and lots of sleeping and pooping. He will also have special support to keep him safe and healthy. (www.instagram.com/lilyslittlelungs is an excellent account to show you what life could be like at home with Jasper.)
To bring Jasper and his medical equipment home, we need a stable power source to get through Maine winters and unexpected outages. We are working with Casco Bay Generators to have a home generator installed this summer and are humbly requesting the support of our community in raising funds for this necessary expense.
How the funds will be used:
- $11,300 for Kohler 20RCA generator, installation, and service
- $1,300 for propane fuel installation
- $2,000 for propane tanks
Any additional funds will be used for tools to help Jasper thrive, like a Wonderfold Wagon and the accessories needed to make Jasper mobile.
So many of you have connected with us since Jasper's birth, and we are beyond grateful for the messages and calls, notes, meals, and gifts. Thank you for supporting us as we work to bring Jasper home. We could not do this without your help.
With love, Katrina, Colin, Jasper (and our kitties Loona and Louie!)
