On Friday, November 7th, a beautiful life changed forever.

Janice Marshall-Archer was returning home to Trinidad after a five-day vacation in Cancun, Mexico. While at the airport preparing to board her flight, she suddenly collapsed. With no one nearby to break her fall, she suffered severe and irreversible brain injuries.

In those frightening moments, compassionate strangers stepped in to help. These individuals quickly became like family. They made sure Janice received urgent medical attention and stayed by her side until her daughters could arrive.

Within days, her daughters reached Mexico to be with their mother. Tragically, Janice’s condition worsened almost immediately. She was placed into a medical coma as they arrived. Although she continued to fight, she later developed pneumonia. After fighting for more than a week, unfortunately November 16th, 2025, Janice passed away.

This loss is unimaginable. Janice was a kind, optimistic, and deeply loving woman. Even in her final days, she carried the same warmth and gentle strength that she showed throughout her life. She had a way of comforting others, even when she was the one in need. Her daughters describe her as their foundation, their rock, their bestfriend, and they are now faced with the heartbreaking reality of learning how to live without her.

Because Janice passed away while abroad, her daughters are facing significant and unexpected expenses to bring her home to Trinidad with dignity. They are navigating international paperwork, documentation requirements, repatriation costs, and travel expenses, all while grieving the loss of their mother in a foreign country. This process has been overwhelming emotionally, physically, and financially.

We are asking for your support to help ease the heavy burden on Janice’s daughters during this devastating time. Donations will go directly toward:

  • Repatriation of Janice’s remains back to Trinidad

  • Required documentation and legal processes

  • Travel and accommodation expenses for her daughters

  • Any additional unexpected costs related to arrangements abroad

Janice was a light. She was gentle, joyful, and endlessly caring. If you are able to give, no amount is too small. Your support will help her daughters honor her memory and give her the respectful journey home that she deserves.

Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity during this tragic and unexpected loss. Your compassion means more than you know.
