Support 'Hands Like Hers', A psychological/horror - Drama, SCAD SENIOR CAPSTONE Short Film About Love, Loss, and What Follows Us.

Hi, I’m Jaden Sweeney, a filmmaker born in Michigan and now based in Savannah, Georgia. I’ve been making films since I was five years old, and each year, I aim to tell a more honest, emotionally layered story than the last.

My newest short film, Hands Like Hers, is a haunting psychological horror about a daughter’s bond with her late mother, and the truth that refuses to stay buried.

The Logline

As a teenage girl bonds with the lingering spirit of her mother, unsettling memories begin to surface, leading her to question not only her father’s role in the past, but her own.

The Story

After Clara’s tragic death, her husband Mark and daughter Evie are left alone in their secluded home. Clara’s death was ruled a suicide, but the truth is far more twisted.

Evie begins to feel her mother’s presence: lullabies sung at night, hair braided in the dark, memories only they shared. To her, Clara’s spirit is gentle. But to Mark, it’s vengeful. He grows paranoid, blaming Evie for attracting a malevolent spirit.
