Help Bring Jack’s Not Bad to Life!

Hello, my name is Jack, and I’m currently navigating one of the most painful experiences a parent can face: the family court system. Amid the emotional toll, uncertainty, and the deep love I feel for my children, I turned to something that has brought me both comfort and purpose writing.

Jack’s Not Bad is the first in a series of children's books I’ve written, designed to help both children and parents navigate the emotional struggles we all face in today’s complex world. These books aren’t just stories—they are tools for healing, connection, and growth.

Writing Jack’s Not Bad has been profoundly therapeutic for me. It helped me reflect, heal, and grow not only as a writer, but more importantly, as a father. I’ve poured my heart into understanding positive parenting, emotional validation, and self-compassion, then translated those lessons into a story that children can understand and relate to.

The money will go to illustrating and printing the book, all profit from the book will go to charity.

Here is the book please enjoy!

Jack’s Not Bad

Jack was zooming, Jack was loud,Jack was feeling extra proud! But-uh oh! Jack let out a word,One his mum should never had heard.

Mum looked shocked, her eyes went wide,Jack felt troubled deep inside. She sighed and said, "Well, that’s not great…Let’s talk before it’s much too late."

Jack’s heart sank, his face went red,“I’M A BAD KID!” he loudly said.Tears were welling, his lips went bright,Mum just hugged him, squeezed him tight.

“Oh my Jack, now don’t you fret,No need to be upset just yet!A word slipped out, that’s not the best,But that mistake was not a test.”

Jack looked up with squinted eyes,“Wait… I’m good? That’s a surprise!”Mum just chuckled, gave a wink,“You’re good, my dear! What do you think?”

“Do good people make mistakes?”Jack asked, his voice a pile of shakes.Mum said, “Oh yes, we ALL mess up!We spill, we trip, we break a cup!”

“We yell, we groan, we stomp, we pout,We say some things we should leave out.But none of that defines who you are,You shine as bright as any star!”

Jack’s small frown began to fade,He grinned and cheered, “I’M STILL OKAY!”Mum said, “Of course! You’ve always been,A kid who learns and tries again.”

Jack thought hard and scratched his head,“I’ll use a better word instead!”He stood up tall and shouted “BLEEP!”Which made his mother laugh-then weep!“

You’re learning, Jack! I love you so,Mistakes just help us learn and grow.

Jack’s Not Bad tells the story of a child who makes a mistake and feels overwhelmed by guilt and shame. Instead of being punished or labelled, he is met with empathy, understanding, and encouragement from a caring parent. It’s a simple but powerful message: our children are not “bad” when they struggle they’re learning. And so are we.

I hope this book can be a lifeline for families like mine, helping children understand their emotions and parents find more compassionate ways to respond. I want to show that even in the middle of personal pain, we can model love, kindness, and growth for our children.

Funds raised will go toward:
