Help Bring Indie Home to Canada

While travelling in Bali, Indonesia with a group of friends I befriended a small puppy alone on the streets. He quickly made friends with all of us and stole a piece of our hearts along the way. He’s a sweet loving little soul who deserves the best life he could possibly have.
This little guy is only a couple months old, alone and left to fend for himself on the streets of Ubud, Bali.
Bali dogs do not have an easy life, starvation, disease, abuse... even the risk of becoming part of the dog meat trade. A not so pleasant place for any dog, let alone a puppy.
He particularly bonded with me and he
spent my last night in Bali snuggled up on the floor of my room. When he didn't leave the next day, but chose to stay and even participated in our morning yoga practice, I took it upon myself to find a way to bring him home. With 3 hours to go before my flight home I rushed him to a local kennel in Tabanan where at least he would be safe until I could figure out how to get him home.
Sadly, the cost to deport him to Canada is not cheap, but I made a promise to this sweet soul that I would do whatever it took to give him a better chance. So here I am, doing something I thought I would never do, in an attempt to give this boy the best life.
I am hoping to raise funds to cover his processing fees and flights home. The company I am working with, IndoAnimal Travel has quoted me 22mil IDR (roughly $2,061 CDN). He will need to be fully vetted, including shots and worming as well as boarding at a kennel until he can leave for his first flight to Jakarta on May 24th. I have no idea what this will all cost yet. The vet is scheduled for Thursday May 16th and I should have a better idea then what he will need.
I know there are so many Go Fund Me’s out there and it is often overwhelming. I know there are people with bigger problems but it would mean so much to me and to Indie if somehow we could make this happen.
Anything over what I require to bring Indie home will go to Hope for Bali Dogs, a local rescue organization that helps feed and rescue Bali street dogs. Every little bit goes a very long way down there and I know they would be super appreciative, as will I.
Please share and help bring Indie (short for Indonesia, of course) home to Canada
Thank you!
Terima kasih!
