As you step into the dimly-lit barn with dinner in hand, you hear a melancholy voice, singing of death and the passage of time. There’s an ominous tension in the air, as if the Moon itself has decided to attend the festivities. But that’s strange—the tables are set for a joyous wedding. And there, on the stage, you can see the bride and groom dancing, with love burning in their eyes…
We’re a team of artists (@sophianegativa, @puheenix, @cursedmargarita, & @bashu_thanks) bringing an entirely unique, immersive, theatrical event to Vibecamp this year. Our show, Om Nom Nominous, will be a psychoactive experience, part ritual and part musical, that takes participants into the depths of their psyches while telling a story of love and loss.
This show will be weird and wild, scrappy and strange, and certainly like nothing else you’ve ever seen before. But in order to make this unforgettable night happen, we need support from Vibecampers like you!
We need about $1100 to cover all the costs of the show. A donation of any size would be deeply appreciated. But… we can also throw in a perk!
We’ll have capacity for 42 participants to be “wedding guests.” For the most part, seats at the wedding will be first come, first served.
(Although only 42 people can be seated at the wedding, there’s also a huge amount of space for people to sit on the sidelines and watch! This option will be a less interactive experience while still allowing people to see the show.)
***However, if you donate $100 or more, we’ll make sure you have a reserved seat at the front tables!***
Details
- The show will take place on Saturday night at Vibecamp, 7:30pm–9:30pm.
- To participate, get your dinner from the dining hall (dinner starts at 7) and bring it to the Barn Theater by 7:30. Seats at the wedding tables are first come, first served (except for a very small number of reserved seats).
- Dress for a wedding, but don't be afraid to get a little dirty.
Content Warnings
- You will be guided into a trance state.
- You will be prompted to take on a character that is partially but not entirely you.
- Actors may touch you on the shoulders, arms, and head. They will not hurt you, but they may not always be gentle.
- Your sight may suddenly be taken from you. This may be a startling experience, but it will be brief.
- The safeword, "red," can be called to pause any interaction.
- You can leave at any time, but we ask that you check in with a member of the wait staff before departing to let them know if you're okay.
