Help Bring Iain Home – Support His Recovery and Independence
On March 26th, Iain was out doing what he loved most — cycling. But that day took a tragic turn. Iain was thrown from his bike in a devastating accident, resulting in a serious spinal cord injury. He now faces life with severely limited movement in both his arms and legs.
Iain is not only a passionate cyclist — he’s been the Mountain Biking Secretary of his local cycling group for over 20 years, leading and supporting rides every Saturday without fail. He’s dedicated countless hours to building a strong community around the sport he loves, always putting others first and helping fellow riders of all abilities feel included and supported.
But more than that, Iain is a loving husband, a devoted father to three children, and a proud grandad to one little one — with another grandchild on the way. His greatest wish right now is to come home and be with his family again.
This life-changing injury has taken away Iain’s independence, but it hasn’t taken away his determination. He’s fighting hard to recover — but he can’t do it alone.
To come home, Iain’s house could possibly require adaptations to make it safe and accessible for his new needs. He’ll also require ongoing physiotherapy and rehabilitation — vital care that the NHS is currently unable to fully provide.
These changes will allow Iain not only to come home, but to begin rebuilding his life with dignity, comfort, and as much independence as possible.
Let’s give back to someone who has given so much to others.
Every donation — no matter how big or small — brings Iain one step closer to being where he belongs: with his family, in a home that meets his needs, and on the road to recovery.
Please donate, share, and support Iain’s journey however you can.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
