️ Hugo’s Journey — Update October 2025

Hugo’s story continues to grow, one small flap at a time.

I’ve now created an Instagram page for him — @hugo_jackdaw

— where you can follow his progress, see early AI animation tests, and peek behind the scenes at this evolving project. Some clips are sweet, some are funny, and a few are downright strange — but that’s all part of the creative journey!

The Hugo project is inspired by a real rescued jackdaw and tells a story about childhood trauma, healing, and finding love and belonging. It’s a story close to my heart — and one I hope will bring comfort and courage to others who have felt small or forgotten.

After facing setbacks with human 3D artists, I’ve been using AI tools to experiment and keep the project alive. These tools help me explore movement, emotion, and texture while I continue to search for the right human collaborators, animators, and publishers to bring Hugo fully to life.
