Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to share the story of my precious 2.3-year-old son and our current journey.

Our son has faced numerous challenges from the moment he entered this world. His early days were spent battling complications that arose during his birth, leading to a prolonged stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). His tiny body fought against COVID-19, kidney failure, underdeveloped lungs, and a myriad of other health issues. Despite the odds, he has shown incredible resilience. However, the journey has not been easy.

As parents, it breaks our hearts to see our son unable to experience the simple joys of childhood. At 2.3 years old, he cannot sit, walk, or even crawl. He relies on us for every aspect of his care, from feeding to mobility. His diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy has added another layer of complexity to his challenges.

We are not citizens of this country, which means we do not have access to the same support systems that many families with disabled children receive. While we are grateful for the medical care available, the waiting periods for essential services like physiotherapy and occupational therapy are agonizingly long. Despite our patience, recent developments have made it clear that we cannot afford to wait any longer.

In December 2023, our son began experiencing unexplained, inconsolable crying spells. These episodes left him exhausted and drained, with no relief in sight. Desperate for answers, we turned to a private hospital in London, where extensive tests revealed the presence of medically refractory epilepsy. Our son requires epilepsy surgery with brain mapping, a specialized procedure designed to identify and remove the specific brain tissue responsible for his seizures.

This surgery is not only crucial for managing his epilepsy but also for improving his overall quality of life. However, the costs associated with such a complex procedure are substantial. From pre-operative evaluations to post-operative care and rehabilitation, every aspect of his treatment requires specialized equipment and expertise.

In the last few months alone, we have spent a fortune on diagnosis, ICU costs, and various medical expenses. The next step in his journey is to undergo this vital surgery. Without it, his unconsolable crying spells will persist, making it incredibly challenging for us as parents to watch him suffer.

We are reaching out to our community for support during this challenging time. Your generosity will help cover the expenses associated with our son's epilepsy surgery and provide him with the chance for a brighter future. Your contributions will make a tangible difference in his life, allowing him to thrive despite the obstacles he faces.

Thank you for considering our story and for your kindness and generosity. Together, we can give our son the best possible chance at a happy and fulfilling life.

With heartfelt gratitude..
