I've been running a Bambu Lab A1 3D printer for a while now, and it's carried me through a surprising range of projects — a clamp-on filament dryer shelf, a 3-stage planetary gearbox for an RC crawler winch, an inline flywheel-assist drivetrain for a beach cart, and steady production support for my wife's jewelry business, Starfire Origins. The A1 has been a great workhorse, but it's hit its ceiling. It can't handle multi-material work cleanly, doesn't do laser engraving or cutting, and the build volume is limiting for larger mechanical parts. The Bambu Lab H2D solves all of that in one machine: bigger build volume, true multi-material printing, and an integrated laser module for cutting and engraving. That last part matters more than it sounds — laser engraving opens up a whole new product line for the jewelry business (custom engraved pieces, packaging, display fixtures) alongside letting me print stronger, cleaner mechanical parts for the gearbox and drivetrain projects already in progress. This isn't a "nice to have" — it's the next tool in an active, ongoing shop, and I'd love help getting there faster. Any amount helps, and I'll keep everyone posted with build photos and first-print results.
