We are asking for your support to help fund the cost of bringing home the last surviving Type 21 frigate that took part in the Falklands conflict in 1982. This fundraising campaign is in association with Clyde Naval Heritage

These ships played an important role during the conflict, serving alongside the Royal Navy during one of the most significant events in modern British naval history. Preserving the last surviving Type 21 is about more than saving a ship — it is about protecting the memories, experiences and history of the people who served aboard her. This will also be a lasting memorial to the 255 British military personnel that were killed during this conflict as well as 3 Falkland Islanders, additionally the 22 crew Killed in Action on HMS Ardent & 2 crew members Killed in Action on HMS Antelope both of these ships are sisters to HMS Ambuscade.

For veterans, their families and future generations, this vessel represents a tangible link to those who served and to the events of 1982. Plus, bringing HMS Ambuscade back will allow us to mark 45 years since the conflict of which we will have the ship to represent the Type 21 Frigates already lost.

We also believe that this will be a lasting memorial to the Task Force veterans and to all those that were lost on Type 21’s and other personnel across other sectors of the Armed Forces.

We need your help to bring this important piece of naval history home and give her the future she deserves.

Ideally we would like to have corporate support, so if you know or work for large corporations/companies that would like to get behind us, please share this with them, unfortunately we are under a great deal of pressure as the Pakistani Government wants the ship moved to the UK by the end of September 2026, if we are unable to achieve this all of the hard work that’s been done in the background and the ship & history will be lost forever as it will be used for target practice, something that we just cannot allow to happen.
