The name Harvey means “battle worthy”—and anyone who knows Harvey Dugan knows how perfectly that fits. Since 2022, Harvey has been courageously fighting Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma (UPS), a rare and aggressive form of soft tissue cancer. Despite the challenges, he has faced this battle with quiet strength, resilience, and grace.

UPS is a high-grade sarcoma that grows quickly and resists many treatments. Harvey has undergone surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy —all in the hope of extending precious time. But after a long and brave fight, his care team has determined that it’s time to shift the focus from treatment to comfort.

We are now trying to secure a place for Harvey, age 43, in a hospice facility like Baptist Hospice House —somewhere he can receive the compassionate and dignified end-of-life care he deserves. Facilities like these offer specialized support in a peaceful setting, but the cost—often around $233 per day—can be a significant financial burden for the family.

Our goal is to raise funds to cover the cost of Harvey’s stay at Baptist Hospice House so he can spend his final days in comfort, surrounded by love, peace, and expert care. We want to give him the gift of dignity during this deeply personal time—but we need your help to make that possible.
